Jagged Edge

thrifted jacket made into a dress, vintage belt

Fashion is so much more than just cloths. It's a form of art.
Here is a little something I wrote the other day I figured I'd share it.
" You May Never Know"
Some days it gets so loud.
I swear I can feel every heartbeat
ringing,
pounding
sending tremors through my tiny structure.
Rattling my knees, making every step an
unsteady,
painful memory.
Looking over my shoulder thinking
"I know they hear that.. can't they see it?"
I don't get to close.
I'd rather they not hear.
But I can't help but wonder,
does the silence make you uncomfortable?
Daydreamer, indeed,
but those blank stares are so much more.
Reflections of scattered pieces of what never was,
what was supposed to be,
and what could have been
reflect off deep dark brown eyes.
The same eyes that look at these heavy feet and carry around this heavy heart.
I'd rather you not get to close.

Home of the Brave

After class today I had time to stop by a couple of thrift stores. I found soooo many great pieces! These bottoms are one. They were $1! You can't beat that... The shoes at the top were a dollar also. Karla from Karla's Closet wass the inspiration behind this ensemble.

Come as you are

Fact: Tripods are a gift from God.
Today I purchased my first, and I'm not quite sure how I lived life without one.
I had a very uneventful memorial day... how was yours?

Jump Start the Buggie

I've found some FANTASTIC jumpsuits at the salvation army (similar to Goodwill). This one was about $10. I have a couple of ideas in mind about how I'm going to wear it. I kind of like it on it's own though, it doesn't need much.

Blown Away

Today was chilly and windy. Florida's weather can be so unpredictable. Anyway, I bought these lovely Jessica Simpson shoes from a consignment store for 10 bucks. The stores here aren't that great, so my first stops are always goowill, salvation army, thrift stores and consignment stores. I'm also very cheap and I refuse to pay crazy prices for things that are just not worth it. Being a college student limits me a bit also, lol.
