I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I wasn't able to enjoy it completly. Heartless professors assigned tests over the break, so that's been lingering over my head the past few days. Anyway I bought these whimiscal pants from a cool thrift, that closed down now, for $1. I've never seen anything quite like them.I bought the fur coat about a week ago from a thrift store also for about $15. Which was a fairly decent price considering it's real fur.. Ahhh, what would the world be without thrift stores.
I just happened to be searching through youtube for hair videos (it's a natural hair thing) and i came across this band called the Noisette's. I watched the video, Now and Then, and loveddd it! I started to dig a little deeper and I found that the lead singer, Shingai, style is AMAZING. What I love most about her is that she seems authenthic. Her style is very funky, yet feminine. Very similar to mine. She's defintely my new obsession.
As I was browsing through her photos, I noticed that she has a blazer very similar to one I have, if not exactly the same. I bought mine from a thrift store in town for about $5.
School is taking over my life, again. What's worse is lately I've been completly uninspired. I have a strong desire to tear my room apart and start my wardrobe over.. lol. We'll see if I ever get around to it.
For those of you that are curious, yes I went natural. One of the best decisions I could have ever made, I feel completly liberated. I've had this dress in my closet for some time now and had absoutely forgot about it.
Couple new things I cut my hair. It's incredibly short.. but I love it. Also I have had the best of luck thrifting these past few days. I found this jacket a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with the studs and fringe. Defintely will be a fun fall piece.
No belt, no dress. I wanted to be sure I show that belts, blazers and dresses aren't all that I wear, lol. Is it just me or did summer FLY by.. I can't believe it's almost time to start fall semester again. Oh well time to start working on my fall wardrobe :)
thrifted top turned into dress, thrifted belt, thrifted kids blazer
Yesterday I celebrated my 20th birthday. :) I wonder what this decade has in store for me.
I found this at a estate sale a couple of days ago. I bought a couple other paintings, but this one was one of my fav's. Vincent van Gogh, amazing artist.
thrifted denim jacket, thrifted bodysuit, thrifted belt
Yesterday I found this bodysuit at a thrift store for $1! I've been looking for one, but I didn't want to spend a million dollars. Very satisfied with this one for now.
I've been insanely busy this past week. It felt great to sit back, relax and get sucked into fashion land. Two very exciting upcoming events : Transformers 2 (super exited lol) and Beyonce's concert next weekend near miami. My first real road trip with the girls. Pretty excited.
